Another British Heptathlete, Jessica Ennis began competing in track and field events back when she was in high school. She went to her first international competition in 2003 in Quebec, Canada, getting in fifth place for the heptathlon.

She then went off to the commonwealth youth games, winning silver in both the high jump as well as the 100m hurdles. She continued to race up until her first ever olympics in 2012.
