Before the famous Moai statues get the gig on Easter Island, they have to go through an apprenticeship. Here we can see what the statues look like when they are first born and are still being weaned off their pacifiers.
Later they will grow up to be trusted to protect Easter Island, but for now, they are just allowed to be kids and enjoy themselves. Tougher times are coming for these statues in waiting, and their proud Moai statue parents don’t want them to grow up too fast.
