The Romanian gymnast was the first female to ever score a perfect 10 while competing at the Olympics. In 1976, when Comaneci was just 14 years old, she thrilled gymnastics fans around the world. Overall, she scored seven perfect scores and won three gold medals, for the balance beam, uneven bars and the all-around.
She was the youngest gymnast to ever win the all-around gold. She wrapped up her medal count with a bronze for the floor routine and a silver for the team competition. She won two more golds and two silvers four years later in Moscow.
