Jackie Joyner-Kersee is a track and field legend. She was even named “Greatest Female Athlete of the 20th Century” by sports Illustrated. She dominated the long jump and heptathlon and has six Olympic medals, including three golds and became the first woman to pass 7,000 points in the heptathlon.
Nearly three decades later (she set the heptathlon record in 1988), her record still holds. Along from her Olympic success, Joyner-Kersee was also a 4-time World Champion.
