[post_page_title]Missy Franklin[/post_page_title]
Missy Franklin captured the attention of the swimming world when she was just a teenager. By 2010 she won world championship medals. In 2012, she won four gold medals and a bronze at the London Olympics. The only swimmer to win more medals than she did in 2012 was Michael Phelps, who won six.
She also set the new world record for the women’s 200m backstroke, finishing in 2:04.06, the record won her her third gold of the games. In Rio in 2016, she added another gold to her collection, and it doesn’t seem as if it’s the last we’ll see of her at the Olympics (she’s still in her early 20s).
