Emma Coburn is a middle-distance runner who’s speciality is the 3000 meter steeplechase. She won in this event at the World Championships in London in 2017, and broke her own American record with a time of 9.02.58. She’s also the first woman to even win an Olympian medal in this event.
Nationally she hasn’t been doing too shabby either, as she has been crowned the United States National Champion no less than eight times. Soon to be 30, she’s showing no signs of slowing down!
