Archeologists find 4,500-year-old ramp apparently used to build the Giza Pyramids

Another theory suggests that the construction workers created a water causeway from the quarry to the location of where they wanted to build the pyramid. They would cut large blocks of rock from the quarry, before attaching floatation devices to the top of the rock.

By placing this stone and the floatation devices in the causeway, the flowing water would then seemingly take it to its resting place. It’s believed that if this were the case, the water would also help to shape the rock into perfect rectangles that would slot perfectly between one another.
