One member of the show claimed that the producers had portrayed him negatively as if we weren’t already aware that this is precisely how reality television programs get their ratings and viewings up! After Molly was seen crying about how Luis had acted and made her feel, fans everywhere felt sorry for her. People were lashing out at Luis over social media and generally looking down on him for the way he had acted.
However, Luis quickly took to Instagram to explain he wasn’t really like how he seemed to the show’s audience. He posted a brief explanation which claimed that “immigrant people” are seen as nothing more than “trash” by TLC. He also proclaimed that he wanted to meet with a New York lawyer and sue the company. He never did file a lawsuit, however, which raises the question as to whether or not he really was portrayed wrongly.
