But in recent years, the Queens-based team has enjoyed just as much, if not more, success than their cross city rival, to their fans’ delight. And that’s good for the team, because when things are good, the fans love the team, but they’re also quick to turn on you when things are bad, showing how much they love the Mets and how much their success affects them. Even though the team is having a disappointing season in 2017, they still have more than 31,000 fans show up at the ballgame.
