Michael Oher beats it all

Due to his mother’s substance abuse and addiction, Michael and his 11 other brothers and sisters were, more often than not, homeless. Before he had even turned 10 years old, Oher had to deal with real hunger along with the fear that he would not be able to find a place indoors to sleep at night. Constantly going between homelessness one day and having a roof over his head the next negatively affected his performance in school.
