We can’t stress this enough – don’t eat anything you find in nature unless you’re 100 percent sure what it is. Mushrooms are some of the trickiest things, because many of them look completely similar to the untrained eye and digesting the wrong kind can be very, very bad news – fatally so.
Take special care around mushrooms growing near trees, as they might be part of the Amanita genus – the deadliest of mushrooms – which includes the destroying angel and death cap mushrooms. And both look completely nondescript. Just pick some up in the supermarket on the way home, okay?
