Clearly there is a running theme among hockey players that they absolutely love Canadian women. Perhaps it’s all connected – Canada – the hockey – the maple syrup ahhh yes, they simply can’t help themselves. Such was the case once more when Sam Gagner was smitten by Dr. Rachel Linke, a Canadian medical school graduate. They ended up getting married in 2014, and it’s probably for the best. What with all the injuries hockey players endure, he’s gonna need a doctor!
