Maxim Afinogenov is simply further proof that there is so much international talent in sports all over the world. This Russian ice hockey player in currently playing in the Kontinental Hockey League, but he actually did play in the NHL, getting drafted in 1997 by the Buffalo Sabres. He played on the Sabres for nine season, and would actually play one more season in the NHL with the Atlanta Thrashers. In 2010, he left the NHL, signing with SKA St. Petersburg.
