Yes, Chris Jericho did wrestle in the 90s. In fact, he wrestled the entire decade. Many are familiar with his later work in the WWE, but he was a workhorse back in the 90s. For companies such as ECW and WCW, Y2J (his common nickname) made a name for himself.
He never reached peak popularity until he made his way into the WWF, however. That happened in 1999, which led the way for his rise to stardom in the 2000s.
