It is traditional in Royal Families for men to use jewels from their mother’s tiaras as part of their engagement rings, and it appears as though Philip wanted to stick to the tradition. He chose many diamonds that were once featured on Princess Alice of Battenberg’s tiara.
The ring features a larger stone in the middle with smaller gems either side. Everything is held in a platinum band, meaning this ring gives off a memorable glisten whenever it catches the light.
