It’s not just her love for sports or disinterest in makeup that led Cheyanne to be labeled as a tomboy. Most of her outfits consisted of sweatpants and sweaters which largely prioritized comfort over style. The student never felt the need to dress up for anyone because she cared more about how she felt than how she looked. The people on her many sports teams never took issue with the way she dressed, so why would it be a problem?
Not only did Cheyanne dress in more stereotypically male clothes, but she also showed an ambition to join the army after graduation. The student worked hard in high school and planned to take that intelligence and dedication into the armed forces. Given the people there were more focused on skill and obedience than appearance, her standing as a tomboy meant she would fit right in.
