No-one has ever taken issue with the way that Cheyanne dressed, her family included. However, while the girl’s mother – Suzanna – was happy for her to embrace the laid-back style, that didn’t mean she was against seeing her daughter in a dress just once. It had been so many years since the student had worn girly clothes that her loved ones had forgotten what those outfits looked like on her.
Her mom was never going to push her to wear something she wasn’t comfortable in, but deep down, she was dreaming of the day Cheyanne got dolled up. Even if it only happened once, it would have made Suzanne’s dream come true. There weren’t going to be many more opportunities for this given her daughter was planning on joining the army. The job would take her away from home for weeks at a time, so they’d rarely see each other anymore.
