Just a few weeks after this change, Colin was demoted from permanent quarterback to backup – and he wasn’t happy about it. Unfortunately, his replacement led the 49ers to victory, and Colin was kept behind the scenes. To make matters worse, Colin was then out-of-play due to a shoulder industry. Tomsula was later fired.
