Mary is definitely a character with a big change throughout the series. She’s the oldest Camden daughter and starts off innocent, driven, and focused.
She is a skilled basketball player who has dreams of joining the WNBA in her future. Later, she becomes rebellious and distances herself from her family. A knee injury ends her shot at a basketball career and she decides to put off college. Her parents worry she is heading in the wrong direction and send her to live with her grandparents in New York.
