On the rental’s second day, he demanded a refund for odd reasons (like “cloudy” tap water), but technical problems stalled resolving the matter. This led Maksym to decide he was going to stay in her property, and bizarrely – the law is on his side, as California state regulations state that after 30 days a person is considered a tenant and cannot be evicted.
