Where is the cast of Malcolm in the Middle today?

Merrin Dungey portrayed two different characters on the show. In the pilot episode, she played Malcolm’s teacher, and then later on in the first season she returned as Kitty Kenarban aka Malcolm’s friend Stevie’s mother who left her son and husband but then returned.

Since her Malcolm days, Dungey has been keeping busy in several successful television roles – most recently as Detective Adrienne Quinlan in the award-winning HBO crime-drama starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, Big Little Lies.
