Robert once enjoyed a life as a singer until he was captured and sent to a prisoner of war camp in the Second World War. This was about to change his life forever.
Robert went on to star as Corporal Louis LeBeau in the Comedy Hogan’s Heroes – a show similar to Robert’s personal experiences. Thankfully, the star was able to return to a life of music after his release, and even enjoyed hit singles in both France and the U.S. Now, at 92 years old, Robert is enjoying a much slower life of retirement.
