Nonetheless, the NCAA ruled that neither Oher nor UoM had colluded to influence his choice, and Michael began attending the university in 2005. Now it was Oher’s chance to show that he could really shine – and he delivered, having an exemplary career at UoM.
He was placed on the All American Team – a team made up of those judged to be the best in the game – twice, and even made the honor roll of UoM twice as well. Oher had come a long way from a 0.76 GPA.
