In her online fundraising campaign aimed to raise money for the project, she writes, “I managed to change from being a world-hating, broken-hearted pessimist runaway with a mohawk to an optimistic, bright-eyed young woman, and I learned everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) the hard way.”
