Famous Olympic medalists – where are they now?

The gold medals that Olympic athletes bring home instill pride and joy within the citizens of their home countries, as they prove to the world that one of their own is indeed better than all of the rest. But what happens when the competition is all over? We are not only talking about what happens to the Olympic village after the games (a sad story in and of itself), but what happens to these people who have been crowned the greatest on the planet in their sport once they return back to their home countries?

Kerri Strug was introduced to the world during the 1996 Atlanta Games, in the Women’s All-Around Gymnastics portion. Strug was a part of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ who were the original ‘Fab Five’.
