At the time, Jimmy was unsure as to what was happening, but it turns out that he had a major stroke. Rather amazingly, Jimmy carried on his scenes despite suffering from the stroke on stage, but he collapsed as soon as he went backstage.
His co-stars sent well-wishes at the time, all sending him get-well messages to ensure he had a speedy recovery back to health. He was nearing the end of his 3-week stint in the show, of which there were 2 performances a day.
