This is a feud that started in a friendship. Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson were really close, but when Magic was forced to retire on account of his well known condition, Isiah question Magic’s possible affiliation with the LGBT community.
Magic accused Isaiah of what he did in a book he wrote called “When The Game Was Ours,” and Isaiah was offended by that, feeling like Magic should’ve just come directly to him, and he (Isaiah) would’ve cleared it up.

When Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were still together on the Oklahoma City Thunder, there was a bit of a battle over whose team it really belonged to.
Durant wasn’t feeling it, and eventually signed with the Golden State Warriors, a team who was already the best in the league. Westbrook indirectly implied through an Instagram post that Durant was a “cupcake” for leaving their team, and joining the team who he had literally just got beat by.
