Back when Toyota unveiled its new luxury car division, Lexus, in 1989, there were two cars in its debut lineup, and one of them was the ES 250. Now in its sixth generation, with a seventh forthcoming, this mid-size executive car isn’t the most beautiful around.

In fact, its front grille sort of makes it look like Darth Vader. But just like Lord Vader, this car gets things done. With a six-speed automatic transmission, and your choice of an I4 or V6 engine, it just keeps going and going.
