Nicole and Roger were avid Lottery players. They would often buy themselves a weekly ticket, glancing at the numbers in anticipation every time they were read out, which of course would always lead on to be a massive disappointment. But still they would try their luck, with a niggling part in the back of their mind every time asking them – “what if?”.
In early 2018, Nicole and Roger purchased themselves a Loto-Quebec ticket in order to celebrate their Valentine’s Day together. However, the draw date wasn’t for another two months, so they had to wait a while until the numbers were announced. After putting it to the back of their minds, they went on to completely forget they even bought it.
