Couple finds lottery ticket in a book, race to see if they can still cash in

After buying the ticket, Nicole thought that it would be a good idea to store it in a safe place. Who knows whether it would be a winning ticket? So she wanted to keep it somewhere that it wouldn’t get damaged or lost. She chose a book that always sat on their bookshelf, tucking the ticket inside one of the pages so it wouldn’t get creased.

With it now safe, sound and tucked away, Nicole and Roger went about their lives, eventually forgetting that the ticket was even there waiting to be checked. The due date of April 5th passed two months later, and then more months passed too. The ticket still remained within the book, lost and forgotten about.
