As Lindsay was talking, the mom appeared to relax a little. She explained to Lindsay that she was a new, first-time foster mom. This was also the first time that she had ever used food stamps. She continued to explain that she was expecting to get a stipend to help pay for the costs that inevitably come with kids, but unfortunately, she hadn’t received it yet. This made the situation even harder for her and made Lindsay even more angry at the couple.
