By marrying a much older man, Celine also realized age would catch up with him much faster than with her. And unfortunately, with age often comes health issues. So on top of her own fertility issues, only five years into their marriage Rene was diagnosed with throat cancer.
Immediately Celine’s entire focus became her husband’s well-being. Having children had to take the back-seat for the time being. But luckily Rene beat the disease, and they now more than anything wanted to grow their family.
