There’s something so hauntingly beautiful about old portraits. The people always look dignified, and so put together. We wonder if our grandchildren will think the same when they find the selfie with the dog ear filter that we’re posting on Instagram right now.

This woman found a portrait of her great-grandmother dated from 1918, and decided to recreate it – and we think she did an amazing job. Why don’t we take portraits like this anymore?
