Aaron Rodgers had sustained some sort of an injury, which led to the Packers placing him on their injured reserve roster, where he could be retained without consequence of another team possibly signing him. The problem with this is that they’re only permitted to do so if a player is projected to be out beyond six weeks – and it didn’t seem like Rodgers’ injury was that serious.
