It’s long been noted that the Maya population spread across the likes of Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala for around 4,000 years, and during this time, they made their mark on the world. They built pyramids, they created infrastructure, they created their own languages, they wrote in hieroglyphs, and they even influenced the art and culture many of us take for granted today. Yet, we’ve only scratched the surface of what life was really like for those who lived in these Maya civilizations.
