From previous research and surveys, we have been able to understand more about the Maya culture and their civilizations. However, the infrastructure found during these projects were not overwhelming – especially in comparison to our modern-day life.

It led experts to believe that the Maya people struggled to build roads, passageways, and connections between their towns and cities, and this led them to be sparsely populated. This was a long-held belief within this history community, but this new information has thrown a spanner in the works.
