Of course, even if Harry and Meghan do distance themselves a little from the Royal Family, they’ll still be expected to carry out their official duties. Unless they want to stop getting paid altogether, they’ll need to continue making public appearances, giving speeches, and doing all the other things that are expected of them.
That includes making their annual trips around the world, such as their fall visit to Africa. These tours are vitally important to the monarchy, so for Harry and Meghan to stop doing them would be disastrous.
