Deacon Jones, along with another guy on this list, was part of probably the most famous group of defensemen called the Fearsome Foursome. Jones was taken in the 14th round of the NFL Draft in 1961 as an offensive lineman. Thankfully for him, and the Rams, he was switched to a defensive end during his rookie season. Back then, sacks weren’t official statistics, but it is believed he would have recorded 173.5 sacks for his career. He was an 8-time Pro Bowler, 5-time All Pro, and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980.
