The career-long Chief had the most sacks during the 1990s. During his 11 year career, Thomas recorded 126.5 sacks, including 20 during his second season alone. Not only that, while Derrick Thomas was in a Chief’s uniform the team made playoff appearances in six straight seasons – the most in team history – and seven seasons overall. Unfortunately for Kansas City, they never made it past the Conference Championship game. Thomas would go on to retire with nine Pro Bowl appearances and a spot in the Hall of Fame.
