These NFL legends were never crowned champions

[post_page_title]Dan Marino, QB[/post_page_title]
Dan Marino was a stud from the start. After taking over at the helm in Miami mid-way through his rookie season, he led the Dolphins to a 12-4 record. He would go on to break almost every major passing record in the league. During his second year in the league, Marino became the first quarterback to pass over 5,000 yards in one season, with 5,048, and broke the touchdown passes per season record. In that same sophomore year, Marino and the Dolphins faced the 49ers in the Super Bowl, losing 38-16. It was the only time during his 17-year career that Marino played in the Super Bowl. Marino retired a legend, with nine Pro Bowl appearances and 3 All Pros, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005.
