Dying in a foreign country, away from the majority of those who love you, is devastating enough. Even more so, is all of the bureaucratic details Steven’s family had to deal with in order to bring his body back to the United States.
Not only was the process complicated, but it was also very expensive. Steven did not have health insurance, and so his sister set up a campaign online to raise money for these expenses. The community pulled together, and, as of today, has donated more than the $25,000 needed for Steven.
