The gloves worn by Muhammad Ali during the “Fight of the Century” against Joe Frazier sold for $606,375 in August 2016, nearly $400,000 more than Jeff Rosenberg paid for them two years prior. Rosenberg said he decided to sell the gloves shortly after Ali passed away in June 2016, but admitted the sale would leave an empty void. Ali and Frazier were both undefeated coming into the fight, and Ali lost by decision. The buyer opted to remain anonymous.
