SOLD: The most expensive sports memorabilia to be auctioned off

[post_page_title]Hank Aaron’s 755th home run ball[/post_page_title]
Hank Aaron held the record for most career home runs for over 30 years before Barry Bonds came along and shattered it (he’s later on this list for number 756). His record home run ball, which was hit in 1976, was sold in 1999 for $650,000 to a man by the name of Andrew Knuth, the same year and auction where Mark McGwire’s 70th home run ball was sold (we’ll get there later on this list). That season Aaron hit only ten home runs, but he had already passed Babe Ruth’s previous record several years earlier.
