SOLD: The most expensive sports memorabilia to be auctioned off

[post_page_title]Babe Ruth bat from his first home run at Yankee Stadium[/post_page_title]
There’s a reason old Yankee Stadium is known as the House that Ruth Built, and that’s one of the reasons his bat from his first home run in Yankee Stadium in 1923 fetched $1.265 million in 2004. What made this bat, and home run, even more special is that it came against The Bambino’s former team, the Boston Red Sox. The bat was bought by MastroNet Inc., an auction house in Illinois. It was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the most expensive bat ever sold.
