SOLD: The most expensive sports memorabilia to be auctioned off

[post_page_title]Honus Wagner baseball cards[/post_page_title]
There are two Honus Wagner cards sold for insane prices over the last decade. The latest such card, a “Jumbo” T206 was sold for $3.12 million in Fall 2016. The other Honus Wagner baseball card from 1909 was sold multiple times over the years, and was even owned by NHL great Wayne Gretzky. In 2007 it was sold for $2.8 million. Wagner’s cards are so rare because he refused to let the makers – the American Tobacco Company – use his image because he didn’t want kids buying cigarettes. There were only 57 known cards in circulation.
