As a player in the NFL for 12 seasons, Mike Ditka revolutionized the tight end position, and is still considered one of the greatest TE ever. During his rookie season with the Chicago Bears he made 56 receptions for 1,076 yards. He would go on to tally 427 catches and 43 touchdowns for his career. He played in five Pro Bowls and won an NFL Championship in 1963. As a coach, he is the only Bears coach in history to win a Super Bowl (1985) and led the Bears to a 168-106 record over 11 seasons. He was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1988.
