As if winning Miss Dominican Republic in 2002 wasn’t impressive enough, Amelia Vega went one better, and the next year became Miss Universe. Since winning such prestigious accolades, Vega has dipped her toes in the acting and modeling waters.
Vega met her future husband, Al Horford, while the NBA star was still playing for the Atlanta Hawks. Since then, Horford made a move to the Celtics in Boston, and most recently, to the 76ers in Philly. Vega and Horford married in 2011, and together they have three children.
