Just two days before Christmas, the Wood family received the news they had been waiting for – but it wasn’t good news. Kaizler did not have an ear infection but was instead diagnosed with leukemia.

Since his diagnosis, Kaizler has struggled with various ailments due to his condition. He has been rushed to hospital with various bouts of pneumonia, he has suffered from regular seizures, and he has had to live with low IGG levels. The Wood family were holding out hope that the chemotherapy would help his condition.

Although they were pinning their hopes on chemotherapy, the Woods family were also asking for help through their personalized Facebook page, Prayers for Kaizler.

After the message exchange went viral on social media, their page received increased traffic – but it was one Twitter user who changed the game. A Twitter page by the name of “illuminaughty” shared the family’s GoFundMe page that asked for donations to pay for Kaizler’s medical bills. Little did they know that this one retweet would start a revolution that would stay with them forever…
