During the lead up to her wedding, there were a bunch of stories claiming that Meghan was upsetting palace officials with her demands. Then there was a report that Meghan made the Duchess of Cambridge cry because of her orders over a dress Princess Charlotte was going to wear. Plus Meghan had now gained a reputation for speaking to palace staff in a bad tone, something else which was said to have upset Kate.
Reports from the palace were still claiming Kate and Meghan were on good terms however, with some reporting they would speak on the phone regularly. Kate had experience of making the transition into the family, and Meghan reportedly leaned heavily on her sister-in-law for advice.
