Thankfully, it is now law that women can breastfeed their children in all 50 states. In fact, the law in Texas states that a woman can feed her child or produce milk in any public or private location as long as she has a legal right to be there.

The state also declares that lactation accommodations must be made for mothers. As Misty was legally allowed to the community pool, it meant that she wasn’t breaking the law by breastfeeding her son. The officer appeared to have other ideas.
